Kutschelis, Julian

Dr. Julian Kutschelis advises both foreign and domestic clients in all matters of corporate law with a special focus on issues of corporate compliance, including white collar criminal matters. He is also engaged in compliance related litigation and arbitration. 

Prior to joining WilmerHale, Dr. Kutschelis worked as a research associate at Free University of Berlin, chair of corporate and capital markets law and as a legal counsel for the German Agency for International Development (GIZ).

The German and international financial industries and their advisors have come under new pressure to investigate so-called 'cum/ex' trades conducted between 2000 and 2012.

Honors & Awards

Dr. Kutschelis is a scholar of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and holds the Free University School of Law's award for his summa cum laude doctoral thesis on anti-corruption and corporate liability.

Dr. Kutschelis is a member of the academic Association for Corporate Law (Wissenschaftliche Vereinigung für Unternehmens- und Gesellschaftsrecht (VGR))
