Joseph Elks

Joseph Elks focuses his practice on intellectual property and antitrust litigation. His practice involves a wide range of technologies, including semiconductors, pharmaceuticals and medical devices.

Mr. Elks was previously an intellectual property litigation lawyer at a leading international law firm in Sydney, Australia, where he represented multinational clients in patent and trademark litigation, class actions, and general commercial litigation. Mr. Elks also provided pro bono assistance to homeless and disadvantaged youth by appearing in local and district courts and sought statutory compensation on behalf of victims of sexual crimes. 

Mr. Elks also clerked for the Honorable Dennis A. Cowdroy OAM of the Federal Court of Australia. 

While in law school, Mr. Elks was a paralegal and summer associate at the Australian offices of law firms Allens Linklaters and Clayton Utz. 

Professional Activities

Mr. Elks is also admitted to practice in the High Court of Australia (2012) and the Supreme Court of New South Wales (2012).
