WilmerHale Expands in LA Office With Transfer Of Three East Coast Lawyers

WilmerHale is pleased to announce that one partner and two associates recently transferred to the firm's Los Angeles office from its Washington, DC, Boston and New York locations. These additions further the expansion and growth of the LA office since it was first established in October 2007.

James Dowd, a partner in the firm’s Litigation/Controversy Department and its Intellectual Property Litigation Practice Group, brings his strong patent litigation and strategy practice from DC to LA. He represents a broad range of clients in cases involving diverse technologies such as semiconductor manufacturing, integrated circuits, medical devices, and biological products. Mr. Dowd practices in courts nationwide at both the trial and appellate levels, and has extensive trial experience before the US International Trade Commission. He joined the firm in 1997.

Caroline Kane, an associate from the Boston office, is a member of the firm’s Litigation/Controversy and Securities Departments. Focusing her practice on intellectual property litigation, securities enforcement defense, internal investigations, and complex civil litigation, Ms. Kane has represented clients in a variety of industries in both the federal and state courts. She joined the firm in 2005.

Jeremy Masys, an associate from the New York office, is a member of the firm’s Securities Department. His practice focuses on securities enforcement and litigation matters, internal investigations, and complex civil litigation. He joined the firm in 2006.
