For the second consecutive year the Washington Business Journal has honored WilmerHale as part of its Corporate Philanthropy Awards, ranking the firm second out of 25 firms with the most pro bono hours of service in the DC metro region.
In addition to its dedicated pro bono practice, WilmerHale operates under a focused philanthropy model, allowing the firm to concentrate its resources and time on a small group of organizations. The model includes multi-year financial support, pro bono legal representation, in-kind donations and volunteer service. Numerous volunteer events are hosted in WilmerHale’s offices with firm lawyers and staff coming together to serve the community. Longstanding community partnerships in Washington DC include Bread for the City and See Forever Foundation/Maya Angelou Schools.
The Washington Business Journal’s Corporate Philanthropy Awards is an annual ceremony honoring the region’s most active and inspirational companies and nonprofits, who have made an impact in their communities through both financial means and philanthropic work. This year’s honorees were recognized on June 6 at the Ritz-Carlton in DC.
