On December 15, 2008, the first rules adopted by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority ("FINRA") as FINRA rules--as opposed to NASD or New York Stock Exchange ("NYSE") rules applicable to FINRA members--will take effect. In anticipation of that date, we have reviewed the current status of FINRA's rule consolidation project in our recent Email Alert.
