IMPACT and the National Bar Association (NBA) honors Reginald B. McKnight at this year’s “Nations Best Advocates: 40 Lawyers Under 40” awards gala, which recognizes talented individuals within the African American legal community who have achieved prominence and distinction, professionally and philanthropically.

McKnight is a counsel in WilmerHale’s Investigations and Criminal Litigation Practice. His practice focuses primarily on complex civil litigation and investigations. His litigation practice has included a range of complex matters before federal and state courts, including litigation involving federal and state securities laws, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, contract disputes and white collar crime. Additionally, he has assisted clients with internal investigations and represented major corporations in a variety of investigations conducted by the Department of Justice, United States Attorney’s Offices, and various State Attorneys General.

Throughout his career, McKnight has exhibited a steadfast commitment to community service by engaging in pro bono legal work. True to that commitment, he is a member of the firm’s Pro Bono Committee, has served as the professional development chair for the Washington Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, and co-chaired the District of Columbia Bar Criminal Law and Individual Rights Section’s Community Outreach Committee and WilmerHale’s fundraising campaign for the Legal Aid Society of DC.

McKnight is one of 40 individuals selected for the NBA’s “40 Lawyers Under 40” based on achievement, innovation, vision, leadership and legal community involvement.

The awards gala was held on Sunday, July 15, 2012 during the NBA’s 87th Annual Convention in Las Vegas, NV.
