Partner Thomas Saunders Discusses Myriad Supreme Court Decision in Bloomberg Webinar

WilmerHale Partner Thomas G. Saunders served as a guest panelist on a Bloomberg Law Webinar to assess the June 13, 2013, Supreme Court opinion in Association for Molecular Pathology v. Myriad Genetics Inc. The Bloomberg event titled, " Interpreting Myriad: Gene Patenting and Other Inventions at Risk," looked at the reasoning in the Court's decision and how it could come to affect the patent community as a whole. 

During the panel session, Saunders provided a review of the legal arguments in the case and gauged the potential impact on biotechnology and other markets. He was joined in the discussion by the Hon. Paul Redmond Michel, former Chief Judge for the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and Erika Arner, a partner at Finnegan Henderson.

Saunders is a partner in the Litigation/Controversy Department, and a member of the Appellate and Supreme Court Litigation and Government and Regulatory Litigation Practice Groups. He has significant experience representing clients in patent and copyright cases.
