C. Boyden Gray Appointed US Ambassador to the European Union

On January 17, 2006, President Bush appointed WilmerHale Partner, C. Boyden Gray, as Ambassador to the European Union. Mr. Gray previously served as Counsel to Vice-President and then President George H.W. Bush from 1981 to 1993. Mr. Gray was one of the principal architects of the 1991 Clean Air Act Amendments and the 1997 FDA reform. After law school, Mr. Gray clerked for the Honorable Earl Warren, Chief Justice, United States Supreme Court. He joined our firm in 1969.
