Boston Bar Association Council Elects Hale and Dorr Partner John Delaney New Member

Partner John W. Delaney was recently elected as a new member to the Boston Bar Association (BBA) Council. The BBA plays a critical role in gathering and disseminating information about the latest developments in the law. The Council is a 26-member governing body which meets monthly to set policy for the BBA.

Mr. Delaney is the chair of the Government Relations Group at Hale and Dorr. He has been a member of the BBA since 1989 and previously served as chairman of the BBA special committee that drafted legislation establishing the Massachusetts Sentencing Commission. He continues as Co-Chair of the BBA-led Task Force to support passage of the Sentencing Guidelines recommended by the Commission. He also serves on the Dinner Committee for the Boston Bar Foundation’s John & Abigail Adams Benefit Ball.

Mr. Delaney will take office on September 1, 2003 and serve a three-year term.
