American Lawyer Unveils Results of Inaugural Women in Law Firms Study

Firm News

WilmerHale ranked 10th out of 210 firms nationally in the American Lawyer’sfirst Women in Law Firms Study, released today.

Earlier this year, the Minority Law Journal—a sister publication of the American Lawyer—surveyed Am Law 200 and NLJ 250 firms about their US minority headcounts for its annual Diversity Scorecard list, which included figures pertaining to the number of female lawyers in their US offices. Firm rankings were then determined based on a formula similar to that used for the Minority Law Journal's Diversity Scorecard, determining that WilmerHale is a leader in this domain. A comparison of firms ranking high on both the Diversity Scorecard and Women in Law Firms Study reveals that WilmerHale was one of only 11 firms ranked in the top 50 in both racial and gender diversity.
