WilmerHale Expands Corporate Practice in Denver with Addition of Two Attorneys

WilmerHale has added two experienced attorneys, Douglas Edwards and Kathleen Lucas, to its Denver-based Corporate Practice, which was created last month with the addition of Partner Keith Trammell.

“I have had the pleasure of working with Doug and Kathleen previously, and I have seen firsthand how their legal experience, business acumen and commitment to clients have been invaluable to helping make corporate clients more successful,” Mr. Trammell said. “I am excited to welcome them to the Denver office of WilmerHale as we continue to grow both the Corporate Practice and the office overall.”

Mr. Edwards joins the firm from his position as a senior associate in the Denver office of an international Am Law 100 firm, where he developed legal strategies for private companies and private equity investors. His experience includes helping clients navigate complex mergers and acquisitions (M&A), debt and equity financings, and joint ventures. Mr. Edwards also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Nathan B. Coats of the Supreme Court for the State of Colorado. He earned his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University, his MBA (summa cum laude) from Saint Louis University and his JD (Order of the Coif) from the University of Colorado School of Law.

Ms. Lucas also joins the firm from her position as an associate in the Denver office of an international Am Law 100 firm, where she focused on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, corporate governance, and compliance reporting. Her experience includes counseling companies in the healthcare, private equity, natural resources and technology industries to identify and address transactional, governance and disclosure issues for clients. Ms. Lucas earned her undergraduate degree (magna cum laude) from Point Loma Nazarene University and her JD from the University of Colorado School of Law. She is also a licensed CPA in the state of Colorado.
