For the third consecutive year, Crain's New York has ranked WilmerHale a Best Place to Work, recognizing the firm's New York office for maintaining a workplace of collegiality and collaboration.
 
The annual Best Places to Work list showcases New York businesses that are “taking decisive steps to create a workplace where employees are inspired by their work, empowered to take the initiative and get credit where credit is due.” Results are based on confidential employee surveys that measure local and overall leadership, compensation and training, workplace flexibility, and diversity.
 
As shared by Crain's, “An inclusive workplace is a top priority at WilmerHale, where the diversity committee meets regularly with the organization's leaders to ensure that work assignments, mentoring and evaluation programs align with corporate goals. A welcome reception for new lawyers, networking events, a speaker series and affinity group activities round out the effort.”
 
The primary practice areas of the New York office include securities regulation and enforcement, intellectual property, patent and trademark litigation, trial and appellate litigation, white-collar defense, corporate, bankruptcy, and financial institutions. These practices are enriched by an exceptionally talented group of colleagues. Lawyers hold PhDs in English literature, electrical engineering, molecular biology and organic chemistry. As is the case throughout the firm, many lawyers in the New York office had significant government, regulatory or public interest careers prior to joining the firm.
 
Outside of client work, the office carries a philanthropic reputation and maintains a community partnership with Sanctuary for Families.
