For her leadership in corporate governance, WilmerHale Partner Jamie Gorelick was selected to the National Association of Corporate Directors' (NACD) 2016 "Directorship 100" list.

The annual honor recognizes the 100 "most influential players…who are driving the corporate governance agenda inside America's boardrooms," according to NACD's Directorship publication, which announced its 10th list in its November/December 2016 latest issue.

Ms. Gorelick, Chair of WilmerHale's Regulatory and Government Affairs Department and Co-Chair of the firm's Strategic Response Group, has been a director of Amazon.com, the e-commerce and cloud-computing giant, since February 2012. Since January 2015, she has also served as a director of Verisign Inc., the Internet domain name and security company. She was previously a director at United Technologies Corp. and Schlumberger Ltd.

"I'm honored to be recognized for contributions to corporate governance and listed among so many outstanding directors," said Ms. Gorelick, who was similarly honored in 2014. "In an increasingly complex global economy, few roles are as challenging as assisting companies as they navigate through turbulent times."

Before joining WilmerHale in 2003, Ms. Gorelick was one of the nation's longest-serving Deputy Attorneys General, the second-highest post in the Department of Justice. She was also General Counsel of the Department of Defense. She is currently a member of the Defense Policy Board, which advises the Defense Secretary and other senior DOD officials.

Ms. Gorelick was also a member of the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks against the US (the 9/11 Commission) and several other high-level federal government commissions. She chairs the board of the Urban Institute.
