Firm News

On October 20, 2015, Partner John Pierce led a Bench-Bar Dialogue at the United States Courthouse in Manhattan with Professor George A. Bermann of Columbia Law School, the chief reporter of the first-ever Restatement of the US Law of International Commercial Arbitration. Hosted by Chief Judge Loretta A. Preska of the Southern District of New York and former Chief Judge of New York Judith S. Kaye, and sponsored by the New York International Arbitration Center, Pierce and Bermann engaged with state and federal judges on the current status of the Restatement, the major arbitration-related issues that have stirred debate and controversy, and the challenges ahead.

Pierce, who is head of the firm's International Arbitration Practice Group in the New York office, represents clients in international arbitration matters in venues around the world, under both civil and common law regimes, and under the rules of all major arbitral institutions. He also represents clients in international civil litigation matters in United States courts.
