Speaking Engagement

The National Coalition to Abolish the Death Penalty (NCADP) has recognized Seth Waxman, David Ogden and Danielle Spinelli for their "extraordinary contributions” to the fight to abolish the death penalty by awarding them the 2005 Legal Service Award. Of special note to the Coalition is WilmerHale’s pro bono work in the highly-watched Roper v. Simmons case as well as their pro bono representation of people on death rows in Alabama, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia.

The NCADP honors Seth, David and Danielle as they "exemplify inspiring excellence in the highest tradition of pro bono service.” The award will be presented to Seth, David, Danielle and the firm at the NCADP awards dinner as part of their annual conference on Saturday, October 29, 2005.

The NCADP is the only national organization concentrated on ending the death penalty in the United States and may be found online at www.ncadp.org.
