This seminar, presented by DRI's Toxic Torts and Environmental Law Committee in conjunction with the American Chemistry Council, will focus on the significant liabilitiestoxic tort litigation and environmental regulatory matters present for companies, both on the legal front and in the court of public opinion. This event will offer attendees insight on how in-house counsel, outside lawyers and communications consultants can work together to manage crises situations, how to conduct effective voir dire in toxic tort and environmental trials, regulatory reporting obligations for environmental releases and how to defend against their use in litigation, how in-house counsel may cost-effectively handle nuisance value lawsuits and how outside counsel can assist them, the latest developments in toxicology research of engineered nanomaterials, as well as how to address ethical considerations that arise when preparing a corporate representative to testify.
