Geoffroy Barthet

Geoffroy Barthet is a French qualified lawyer who focuses on antitrust and competition law, as well as on EU regulatory matters and data protection law. 

Mr. Barthet represents clients before the European Commission in merger control reviews and advises in cartel and abuse of dominance proceedings. He also has strong experience in state aid, in particular fiscal aid. His practice covers a broad range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, transport, digital, telecommunications, energy, and financial services.

Prior to joining WilmerHale, Mr. Barthet worked in the antitrust practice of other leading international law firms in Paris and Brussels. One of these experiences included supporting the development of one of the world's largest courier delivery services company for their European operations. Mr. Barthet also worked as an in-house trainee in the legal departments of an incumbent telecommunications company and a global healthcare leader.
