The energy is what I like most about working with startups. Startup founders are much braver than me, with great ideas and a drive to solve the world's problems. It’s so fun to help them on their journey and watch them as they succeed.
Experience: I represent private companies in various stages of development, publicly traded companies, and investment firms that have a focus on tech and life sciences. I have represented clients in strategic alliances and licensing transactions, venture capital financings, IPOs, and acquisitions.
Launch Moment: Some of the coolest moments is getting to see a client showcased in popular media. I have seen stories about a few of my clients on the morning news and in Boston Globe. It is a great feeling knowing that a founder’s vision has become reality for them and the community. And another great moment is when you get to celebrate with a company, who you have helped for years, after they are sold for a life-changing sum. It is always special to be part of those celebratory experiences.
Off the clock: I enjoy travelling—seeing new places and trying new things—cooking, entertaining, hanging out with my family, friends and dog.
Listening: I’m listening to a few podcasts: Amicus, a podcast about the Supreme Court, from Slate writer Dahlia Lithwick; Slow Burn, a political podcast series also from Slate; and Gastropod, a podcast from Eater about the history and science of food.
