Yoanna Schuch

Yoanna Schuch is a senior associate in the Litigation/Controversy Department, and is a member of the International Arbitration Practice Group. She joined the firm in 2015.

Ms. Schuch focuses her practice on international arbitration matters and multi-jurisdictional disputes. She has experience with representation of clients in ad hoc and institutional arbitrations (including under the ICSID, ICC, VIAC, DIS, LCIA and UNCITRAL Rules), at multiple seats and governed by a broad variety of substantive and procedural laws. Her international arbitration practice covers a wide range of industries, including financial services, telecommunications, mining, construction and energy. 

Ms. Schuch counsels clients on conflict of laws issues and international enforcement of arbitral awards and judgments, and advises parties on the protection of foreign investments under bilateral investment treaties.

Prior to joining WilmerHale, Ms. Schuch worked for the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), the Vienna International Arbitral Centre (VIAC) and the Austrian Trade Commission in New York. 

Professional Activities

Ms. Schuch is a member of the ICC Young Arbitrations Forum, the Austrian Arbitration Association, the ICC Young Arbitrators Forum and Arbitral Women. In 2019, she was appointed as a board member of the Young Austrian Arbitration Practitioners.
