Travis Miscia is a securities attorney who focuses his practice on litigation and enforcement matters. He has represented investment banks, public accounting firms, asset managers, public companies and individuals before the Department of Justice, Securities and Exchange Commission, Commodities and Futures Trading Commission and FINRA, among other authorities. Mr. Miscia also takes on pro bono representations in fields such as immigration, veteran's compensation, New York family law and human trafficking.
In 2013, while a summer associate at the firm, he worked on a variety of complex litigation, bankruptcy and pro bono matters. While in law school, Mr. Miscia was a law clerk in the Texas Office of Capital Writs, where he worked on state habeas corpus proceedings for convicted prisoners facing the death penalty. He also worked as a legal intern at the New England Innocence Project, researching potential claims for individuals seeking exoneration.
Mr. Miscia is a trustee of The Hart Island Project. Before law school, Mr. Miscia founded a genealogical research business with more than 200 clients, operating in archives, courthouses and digital repositories in New York.
Professional Activities
Mr. Miscia is admitted to practice before the US District Court for the District of New Jersey and the US District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.
