Theodoros Konstantakopoulos, PhD


Dr. Theodoros Konstantakopoulos' practice focuses on counseling clients on intellectual property matters, obtaining patent protection, patent litigation, post-grant proceedings and due diligence.

He has represented clients in various fields of electrical engineering and computer science, including wireless communications and standards, network systems, computer security, computer software, internet-based applications, microprocessors, digital and analog integrated circuits, storage systems, fabrication technologies, semiconductors, light-emitting diodes, and medical devices.

Dr. Konstantakopoulos has extensive experience in patent litigation in district courts and the International Trade Commission. He also has significant experience before the PTAB in inter partes review proceedings. Additionally, he has advised clients in preparing and prosecuting US and foreign patent applications and portfolio strategy. Dr. Konstantakopoulos has also conducted numerous due diligence investigations and drafted opinions.

Prior to joining WilmerHale, Dr. Konstantakopoulos was conducting research as a graduate student at MIT. During his doctoral studies, he served as a research assistant in the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory working in the Computer Architecture Group. He conducted his research for his MS degree in the Microsystems Technology Laboratory working in the Digital Integrated Circuits and Systems Group.
