Michelle Glassman Bock

Michelle Glassman Bock focuses on international commercial arbitration and on complex commercial litigation. She has represented companies before a variety of international arbitration tribunals under the auspices of various leading arbitral institutions, under numerous substantive and procedural governing laws. She also counsels companies on drafting arbitration clauses and regularly works with issues of company valuation and quantification of damages.

Ms. Bock has also represented companies and individuals before US courts at the trial and appellate levels.

Ms. Bock joined the firm in 2005 and has previously practiced in the firm's Frankfurt, London and Washington DC offices. 

Professional Activities

Ms. Bock regularly lectures on international arbitration and has taught courses on the same at the Austrian Arbitration Academy, the Cologne Arbitration Academy and Duke University School of Law. Ms. Bock is a member of DIS 40, the Young International Arbitrators Group of the London Court of International Arbitration, the Young Arbitrator’s Forum of the ICC and the Young and International Group of the International Centre for Dispute Resolution.

    • Representation of a European media rights organization in its submission to the United Nations regarding human rights practices vis-à-vis journalists
    • Representation of an individual defendant in his criminal appeal from judgment before the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit
    • Representation of an individual defendant in his appeal from judgment before the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit regarding a habeas corpus petition to vacate judgment in his criminal case
