Julius Jefferson advises clients on a variety of intellectual property issues, including litigation, post-grant proceedings, and patent prosecution. He represents software, hardware, pharmaceutical, and medical diagnostics clients on all aspects of patent litigation, and helps companies protect their intellectual property in jurisdictions across the United States and internationally.

Prior to joining WilmerHale, Dr. Jefferson was a patent litigation associate at another large international law firm. He was previously a law clerk for the Honorable Leonard P. Stark of the United States District Court for the District of Delaware, the Honorable John D. Love and Honorable K. Nicole Mitchell of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.

During law school, Dr. Jefferson served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Leonard P. Stark of the United States District Court for the District of Delaware, the Honorable Leonard Davis of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, the Honorable Robert L. Wilkins of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, the Honorable Nora Barry Fischer of the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, the Honorable Jimmie V. Reyna of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and the Honorable Theodore R. Essex at the United States International Trade Commission. 

Prior to law school, Dr. Jefferson was a research fellow at Wyeth Pharmaceuticals (now part of Pfizer) in Princeton, New Jersey.

Dr. Jefferson is admitted to practice in California as well as before the Eastern District of Texas, the Northern District of California, and the Eastern District of California.
