Heather Jordan focuses her practice on securities litigation and enforcement matters. She has represented financial institutions and individuals in connection with internal investigations and regulatory investigations conducted by the US Securities and Exchange Commission, the US Department of Justice, the US Congress, FINRA, US state Attorneys General and US and UK banking regulators. 

Selected Representations:

  • Represented financial institution in complex internal investigation, US and foreign regulatory investigations, US Congressional inquiry and related litigations concerning derivatives trading practices. 
  • Represented financial institution in Securities and Exchange Commission inquiry into alleged violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
  • Represented financial institution in US regulatory investigations involving alleged to pay to play scheme relating to municipal bond issuances.
  • Represented financial institution and numerous individuals in US regulatory investigations into Auction Rate Securities trading practices, including securing closing letters from the Securities and Exchange Commission following a multi-year investigation relating to the conduct of individuals. 

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Jordan was a senior associate at a firm in New York, where she represented clients in New York State and Federal Court litigation, focusing on general commercial, administrative and real estate matters, as well as appearing before New York City and State administrative agencies and boards in connection with enforcement proceedings and applications for agency action.  

Professional Activities

Ms. Jordan has been a guest lecturer at the New York University Department of Chemistry.
