Elliott Couper

Elliott Couper is a senior associate in the Litigation/Controversy Department, and is a member of the International Arbitration Practice Group.

Mr. Couper has experience in commercial and investment treaty arbitrations across a variety of industries, and has acted as counsel and served as tribunal secretary. He has experience of institutional and ad hoc international arbitrations, including in proceedings under the ICC, ICSID and NAI Rules.

Mr. Couper has also worked on pro bono matters, including in relation to proceedings before the European Court of Human Rights and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Prior to joining WilmerHale, Mr. Couper worked as an Assistant Crown Counsel for the Crown Law Office (New Zealand Government) and as a Solicitor in the disputes department of one of New Zealand’s leading law firms.
