WilmerHale Partners with PracticePro to Offer Pre-Law Diversity Scholarship

Firm News

WilmerHale is pleased to announce that it has partnered with PracticePro, an EdTech social enterprise, to provide strategic guidance and financial support for underrepresented students navigating the law school admissions process. WilmerHale is one of nine firms included in the enterprise’s newly formed Founding Circle, which aims to expand PracticePro’s existing Pre-Law Diversity Scholarship and diversity, equity and inclusion programming.

“We are proud to be among the first law firms to partner with PracticePro and provide an underrepresented student with guidance and financial support as they navigate the law school admissions process,” shared Lindsey Higgins, Director of Legal Recruitment at WilmerHale.

PracticePro established the Pre-Law Diversity Scholarship to combat the financial and support barriers that many underrepresented students encounter when trying to enter the legal profession. In addition to funding the 2023 Pre-Law Diversity Scholarships, which will award at least nine law school applicants with a $1,200 LSAT stipend and a $500 law school application fee reimbursement, the Founding Circle will play a pivotal role in mentoring scholars and designing future programming to address their needs.

On March 10, 2023, PracticePro and the Founding Circle will hold an information session for pre-law students to share law school admissions advice and answer questions about the scholarship.
