Emily Barnet has represented clients in complex civil litigation in state and federal courts, at both the trial and appellate levels. She regularly works with technology companies and educational institutions. She also maintains an active pro bono practice in the areas of fair housing, reproductive rights and criminal justice.

Ms. Barnet previously clerked for the Honorable Stephen G. Breyer of the US Supreme Court, the Honorable Robert A. Katzmann of the US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the Honorable Jed S. Rakoff of the US District Court for the Southern District of New York. 

While attending law school, Ms. Barnet served as an executive editor of the Yale Law Journal and a member of the Media Freedom and Information Access Clinic. She also interned for the legal department of The Washington Post.
