Kirk Nahra Analyzes Outlook for Healthcare Privacy Policy

In two recent articles in Bloomberg Law, Kirk Nahra, partner and co-chair of WilmerHale’s Cybersecurity and Privacy Practice, outlined five privacy developments and issues he expects to occur in 2020 on both overall privacy issues and for health care privacy.

The recent developments in the overall privacy and security field include the evolving impact of the California Privacy Protection Act and the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation, the changing enforcement activities of the Federal Trade Commission activity, more aggressive enforcement activity on privacy and security from state attorneys general, and further movement toward a national privacy law, which all bear close watching, according to Mr. Nahra.
