Caitlin M.R. Mandel

Senior Associate


Caitlin Mandel’s practice focuses on representing clients, primarily in the finance sector, in investigations and enforcement actions before FINRA, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, among others. She also assists clients in responding to inquiries from Congress. Recent highlights include leading a complex internal investigation into a client’s mortgage servicing practices, leading to the favorable resolution of a lengthy investigation by a regulator. Ms. Mandel is also actively involved in WilmerHale’s pro bono activities, currently focusing on asylum claims. She previously managed the firm’s relationship with the Bronx Lab School, where the firm provides free legal representation to needy students and their families.

Past Experience

Prior to joining WilmerHale, Ms. Mandel served as law clerk to the Honorable Anthony C. Epstein of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. Prior to law school, she also served as a teacher and academy coordinator at Ballou Senior High School in Washington DC as part of Teach for America.
