Benjamin Eastwood



Benjamin Eastwood represents and advises private and publicly traded companies, government agencies and municipalities in the acquisition, disposition, joint venture equity investments, financing, leasing and development for commercial, utility and public purposes.

Prior to joining WilmerHale, Mr. Eastwood was an associate at other area law firms where he established a real estate practice with a focus on the acquisition, disposition, development, leasing and financing of commercial and residential properties. He has represented two related companies in their respective capacities as lender and equity investor in a Rhode Island development project; clients as landlords in various lease arrangements for lab, office and outdoor spaces; a borrower in multiple loan restructurings secured by multiple properties; and a municipal client acting as a subordinate lender on a complex affordable housing project refinancing. Mr. Eastwood has also advised and performed due diligence and zoning analysis on matters relating to company expansions and proposed developments for both single- and large-scale properties.

After obtaining his law degree, Mr. Eastwood was a judicial intern for Chief Magistrate Judge Judith Dein of the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
