Partner-in-charge for the Brussels office, Anne Vallery has practiced EU competition and regulatory law in Brussels since 1996, with a particular focus on TMT and digital economy sector. She has litigated numerous cases before the European Commission, European courts, national competition authorities, Brussels courts and other national courts. Ms. Vallery has been involved in a host of major transatlantic cartel investigations. Ms. Vallery has also been involved in major abuse of dominance investigations, state aid litigation, damages litigation, ICSID and International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) arbitration and telecoms matters. She has also represented clients in numerous filings of mergers and joint ventures with the European Commission and national competition authorities, including negotiations of divestiture and other commitments.

Ms. Vallery has also assisted clients in State aid investigations, in securing European Commission’s approval, in complaint proceedings against illegal State measures, in subsequent litigation, in designing investment strategy and approach on the basis of State aid rules in the airline, financial, gaming and gambling, telecommunications, transportation and mobility and basic industry sectors. In addition to her State aid experience, she has advised and represented clients in the biotechnology sector, the film industry and sustainable innovation sector in obtaining EU funding or in dispute with the Commission regarding EU funding.
