Trzop, Allison

Allison Trzop focuses her practice on intellectual property litigation at the trial and appellate level. She has represented leading companies involved in patent, trademark, and copyright disputes. She has also advised on data privacy, the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, and statutes applicable to media companies.

Ms. Trzop maintains an active pro bono practice, with an emphasis on veterans and civil rights matters.

During her time at Harvard Law School, Ms. Trzop interned for the Honorable Rya W. Zobel of the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts. She also did work for the Office of the Attorney General of Massachusetts, Appeals Division, and was a contributor to SCOTUSblog. Ms. Trzop served as a research assistant to Professor Laurence H. Tribe and Professor I. Glenn Cohen, and taught Copyright Law on the edX platform under Professor William Fisher.

Previously, Ms. Trzop was a book editor with Beacon Press, where her authors included the Honorable Nancy Gertner and Geoffrey Canada of the Harlem Children's Zone.

Professional Activities

Ms. Trzop has spoken at the Nieman Conference at Harvard and the Women, Action, and the Media Conference at MIT. She has taught courses in writing at Lesley University and Newbury College. Her past board service has been for the Harvard/MIT Cooperative Society and Harvard Law School's Lambda. She has also lectured on cyberlaw at Northeastern University.

In addition, the firm was recognized for its role in two “Milestone Cases of the Year:” Akamai Technologies v. Limelight Network (Fed. Circuit, August 2015), in which the firm argued on behalf of Akamai, and Authors Guild v. Google (Court of the Appeals for the Second Circuit, October 2015) in which the firm represented Google.
