The excellence of WilmerHale’s litigation practice is recognized across all of our practice areas.
Recognition for our department:
- Chambers USA 2010 recognized our general commercial litigation practice in New York with an elite ranking. Our commercial litigation practice in Massachusetts and our litigation practice in DC were also ranked.
- Chambers USA 2010 recognized our securities litigation practice in New York.
- In December 2009, The Lawyer ranked WilmerHale in the top 10 of its annual list of the top 50 litigation practices.
- Vault's List of Most Prestigious Law Firms (2009) ranked our Litigation Department 5th in the Best in Litigation category. Additionally, the firm ranked near the top of the Prestige List and placed in Best in Boston, Best in DC, Best in Antitrust, Best Office Space, and Best in Selectivity.
- The Best Lawyers in America 2010 recognized William F. Lee, Jeffrey B. Rudman, Robert B. McCaw, Peter K. Vigeland, Roger Witten, Louis R. Cohen, Jamie Gorelick, and A. Stephen Hut, Jr. as "Best Lawyers" in the area of Litigation.
- In January 2008, The American Lawyer gave the firm an honorable mention in its Litigation Department of the Year competition. We received this same recognition in 2002, 2004 and 2006, the only other times that The American Lawyer has done a nationwide survey of litigation departments.
- Also in January 2008, The American Lawyer named WilmerHale its 2007 Intellectual Property Litigation Department of the Year. Our IP litigation practice was recognized as one of the top five in the country in the January 2006 and 2004 issues of The American Lawyer, the only other years that the magazine has ranked IP litigation practices throughout the country.
- Practical Law Company's PLC Cross-border Quarterly IP Super League ranked WilmerHale as highly recommended for patent litigation in the US and as recommended for patent litigation in England.
