Peter Buckland is a vice chair of the Corporate Practice Group and is based in Palo Alto, California. Mr. Buckland is the co-chair of the firm's Emerging Company and Venture Capital Practice Group. He is also co-chair of the firm's Energy and Cleantech Group. Mr. Buckland joined the firm in 2005.

Practice

Mr. Buckland has extensive experience in representing both private and public companies in a wide range of transactions including capital markets transactions, venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts and general corporate matters. Mr. Buckland counsels clients in a number of industries including emerging energy and clean technologies, the Internet and digital media and a variety of other technologies. In addition, Mr. Buckland represents numerous venture capital firms in financing transactions, private equity sponsors in leveraged buyouts and investment banks as underwriters' counsel.

Mr. Buckland is a founding member of WilmerHale’s Energy and Cleantech Group. Representative clients in the clean technology space include Range Fuels, Inc. (biofuels), Kior, Inc. (biofuels), Q-Cells AG (solar), Seeo, Inc. (batteries) and Khosla Ventures.
