Over the past 12 months, a notable group of senior laterals has joined the firm from diverse positions in government, business and private practice.

Debo P. Adegbile has extensive experience in appellate and government-facing litigation and strategic counseling in high-stakes cases, internal civil rights investigations and commercial litigation. Prior to joining the firm, he served as Senior Counsel for the US Senate Judiciary Committee. Mr. Adegbile is a partner in the Litigation/Controversy and Regulatory and Government Affairs Departments.

Trevor Cook has more than 35 years of experience in global patent litigation, particularly in Europe and Asia, and is widely regarded as one of Europe's foremost practitioners of transnational intellectual property litigation. He is a partner in the Litigation/Controversy Department and the Intellectual Property Litigation Practice.

Tara D. Elliott is a seasoned trial court and appellate lawyer with extensive experience handling significant intellectual property disputes. Ms. Elliott brings to the firm more than 10 years of experience in private practice and government. She is a partner in the Litigation/Controversy Department and the Intellectual Property Litigation Practice.

D. Reed Freeman, Jr., is a leading authority on privacy and cybersecurity, and online, mobile and social media advertising, and privacy law. He joins the firm with 16 years of experience in private practice, and previously worked in the Federal Trade Commission's Bureau of Consumer Protection as a Staff Attorney. Mr. Freeman is a partner in the Regulatory and Government Affairs Department and co-chair of the Cybersecurity, Privacy and Communications Practice.

Rob Lehman, former Chief of Staff to Senator Rob Portman (R-OH), will join the firm as co-chair of the Legislative Affairs and Public Policy Group on February 2, 2015. Mr. Lehman led policy and strategic development and implementation for the senator, including the introduction of 65 bills, and has also served as Chief of Staff for the Office of Management and Budget and the United States Trade Representative.

Robert S. Mueller III, the sixth Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, led the FBI for 12 years, beginning on September 4, 2001, one week prior to the attacks of September 11. Widely credited with transforming the bureau from a traditional law enforcement agency to an intelligence-based national security organization, Mr. Mueller is also recognized for his experience in privacy and cybersecurity matters. He is a partner in the Litigation/Controversy and Regulatory and Government Affairs Departments.

Matthew Schnall is a versatile tax lawyer who has more than 20 years of experience representing clients in complex matters, including tax controversies, transactional planning, administrative rulings and tax regulatory compliance. He is a partner in the firm's Transactional Department and Tax Practice.

Edward N. Siskel has more than a decade of experience serving at the highest levels of government, including the Department of Justice and the White House. Mr. Siskel joined the firm after serving, most recently, as Deputy White House Counsel and Deputy Assistant to the President. He is a partner in the Litigation/Controversy and Regulatory and Government Affairs Departments.

Heather S. Tewksbury has extensive experience in complex criminal antitrust investigations and litigation, as well as government investigations. She joined the firm after serving, most recently, as a trial attorney in the Antitrust Division of the US Department of Justice in San Francisco, where she handled some of the most significant investigations and criminal prosecutions brought by the agency in recent years. She is a partner in the Regulatory and Government Affairs and Litigation/Controversy Departments, and the Antitrust and Competition Practice.

Anthony Trenton is a highly regarded litigator and adviser who represents clients on intellectual property matters, including patents, trademarks and domain names, copyright, registered designs and design right. Mr. Trenton has conducted cases up to the highest level in the United Kingdom, including a two-week trial in the House of Lords and an appeal in the UK Supreme Court. He is a partner in the Litigation/Controversy Department and the Intellectual Property Litigation Practice.

Aaron M. Zebley has more than 15 years of public sector experience at the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Department of Justice and US Attorney's Office. He served as Chief of Staff to former Director of the FBI Robert S. Mueller III, and to the current Director, James B. Comey. Most recently, he was Senior Counselor in the National Security Division at the Department of Justice. He is a partner in the Litigation/Controversy and Regulatory and Government Affairs Departments.

Dr. Song Zhu has represented clients from the United States, China, Europe and Japan, including multinational companies and technology startups, in numerous intellectual property litigation matters, as well as patent aspects of mergers and acquisitions. He has prosecuted hundreds of patent applications, and has filed and prosecuted appeals before the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences of the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He is a partner in the Litigation/Controversy Department and the Intellectual Property Litigation Practice.
