Partner Kenneth Zhou has been elected General Counsel of the Board of Governors of the American Chamber of Commerce in the People’s Republic of China (AmCham China), a nonprofit organization that represents US companies and individuals doing business in China, with the mission of helping American companies succeed in China through advocacy, information, networking and business support services. In addition to Zhou’s role as General Counsel, fellow WilmerHale Partner Lester Ross serves as the Board’s Vice Chairman.
Zhou is a member of WilmerHale’s Corporate Practice Group. He focuses his practice on foreign direct investment, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic alliance, general corporate, antitrust and regulatory matters, FCPA and investigations and international dispute resolution. Zhou has advised foreign companies in high-tech, media and entertainment, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, banking and financial services, publishing, consumer product and services industries with respect to their strategic expansion in China.
AmCham China is a member-led organization that comprises more than 3,500 individuals from more than 1,000 companies. Members of AmCham China's Board of Governors are elected on an annual basis by members.
