Crain's New York Names WilmerHale Among City's Best Places to Work

Firm News

The firm's New York office has been named as a Best Place to Work by Crain's New York in its annual survey of the city's employers. WilmerHale is one of only eight law firms on this year's list, which includes a total of 100 winners.

Organizations are identified as Best Places to Work based on results of confidential employee surveys that measure local and overall leadership, compensation and training, and workplace flexibility and diversity. According to Crain's, these companies have gone above and beyond in "taking decisive steps to create a workplace where employees are collegial, inspired by their work, empowered to take initiative and get credit where credit is due."

Since its opening in 1999, the New York office has grown to nearly 200 lawyers and 130 staff and has developed a premier practice founded on many of the firm's core strengths, including securities regulation and enforcement, intellectual property, patent and trademark litigation, trial and appellate litigation, white collar defense, corporate, bankruptcy and financial institutions. Across all practice areas, the office has been built on the firm's guiding principles of collegiality, diversity, commitment to public service, and dedication to clients and the practice of law.

The complete, numerical listing of this year’s Best Places to Work was released by Crain’s during an awards luncheon on December 5, 2014 in New York. WilmerHale ranked 35th out of a total of 100 companies.
