Partners Waxman, Gorelick Among WilmerHale Attorneys to Receive Prestigious DC Rankings in Super Lawyers

Firm News

The annual edition of the Washington DC Super Lawyers magazine, published by The Washington Post Magazine, listed 34 WilmerHale attorneys in this year's rankings. Partner Seth Waxman, chair of WilmerHale's Appellate and Supreme Court practice, is ranked as the number one attorney in Washington DC. This is the fifth consecutive year Waxman has been ranked as one of the "Top Ten" attorneys by the Washington DC Super Lawyers magazine and the first year he has been ranked number one.

Partner Jamie Gorelick, chair of WilmerHale's Defense, National Security and Government Contracts practice and co-chair of the firm's Strategic Response and Counseling Group, is listed both as a top lawyer in the general litigation practice area and among the "Top 50 Women" in Washington DC.

Among the many mentions of WilmerHale lawyers in this year's edition, the Appellate Group's recognitions are particularly notable with Counsel Daniel Kearney, Jr. and Senior Associate Kurt Kastorf both being named "Rising Stars."

WilmerHale Counsels Todd Hettenbach, Reginald B. McKnight, Jaclyn Moyer and Brian C. Smith are listed as "Rising Stars" in the Washington DC Super Lawyers magazine.

WilmerHale's Antitrust and Competition Practice also had a significant showing with five of its group members included in this year's rankings.

The objective of Super Lawyers is to "provide a credible, comprehensive and diverse," resource and method for attorneys and consumers to use when researching legal representation. The attorneys selected are first nominated, then surveyed by their peers, and finally, evaluated by their professional accomplishments. Super Lawyers list attorneys by practice areas and region.
