Gary Born Appointed Honorary Professor at the University of St. Gallen

Gary Born, Chair of Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP’s International Arbitration Group, has been appointed Honorary Professor at the University of St. Gallen. Professor Born has taught international commercial arbitration at St. Gallen for the past eight years and was recognized by the University for his sustained contributions to the field of international arbitration. Born commented: “It is a great honor and privilege to be recognized by an institution with the international reputation and unique quality of St. Gallen.” Professor Born will continue to teach courses on international arbitration and dispute resolution at St. Gallen, as well as contribute to the University’s moot teams and other academic activities.

Professor Born is the author of International Commercial Arbitration (2009), the standard work in its field. Born received the American Society of International Law’s Certificate of Merit in 2010, as well as other awards, for International Commercial Arbitration. Born is also the author of International Arbitration: Cases and Materials (Aspen 2011), International Civil Litigation in United States Courts (Aspen 5th ed. 2011) and International Arbitration: Introductory Principles and Practice (Kluwer forthcoming 2012).
