Kimberly Beattie Saunders is a senior associate in the firm's Securities Department, and a member of the Investment Management Practice Group, where she focuses on investment management regulatory and enforcement issues. She joined the firm in 2007.
Practice
Prior to beginning her legal studies, Ms. Saunders was a Senior Government Relations Officer for the Chicago Transit Authority from 2003-2004 , where she analyzed pending state legislation and promoted intergovernmental relations among municipal, regional, and state entities.
From 1999-2003, Ms. Saunders worked in the Executive Office of the Illinois Governor. She served as Senior Advisor for Economic Development where she advised the Governor on policy issues related to the State’s commerce, transportation, employment and finance agencies. Prior to her role as Senior Advisor, Ms. Saunders also served as a Policy Advisor for Economic Development in 2000 and as a James H. Dunn, Jr. Memorial Fellow in 1999.
