Jimmy Doan is a senior associate who focuses his practice on complex intellectual property litigation matters.
Most recently, Mr. Doan was a law clerk for the Honorable Edward C. Prado of the US Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the Honorable Rodney Gilstrap of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. Previously, he was an associate at WilmerHale and focused on patent litigation and Federal Claims Act matters.
Prior to joining WilmerHale, Mr. Doan was a summer associate for Bancroft Associates, PLLC. While there, he assisted attorneys in petitioning the Supreme Court of the United States for rehearing, and served as a research assistant where he analyzed and synthesized Supreme Court decisions with national security implications.
After receiving his bachelor degrees from the University of California, Berkeley, Mr. Doan worked as a litigation paralegal with Fenwick & West, LLP. As a paralegal, he led the team through a three week patent litigation trial, providing attorneys with in-court support, maintenance of witness and trial binders and exhibits, and document collections and productions.
