Gerard Sinzdak is a senior associate in the Litigation/Controversy Department. He joined the firm in 2012.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Sinzdak was a law clerk to the Honorable Ruth Bader Ginsburg of the Supreme Court of the United States. He also served as a Bristow Fellow in the Office of the Solicitor General, United States Department of Justice. While there, he drafted briefs in opposition to certiorari, wrote memoranda recommending the appeal of adverse decisions, and briefed and argued a case on appeal before the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.
Previously, Mr. Sinzdak clerked for the Honorable Charles R. Breyer of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California and for the Honorable Marsha S. Berzon of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Before obtaining his law degree, Mr. Sinzdak worked as a management consultant at Dean & Company and as a research assistant at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors.
