The December 2004 issue of the Washingtonian ranked William McLucas, Jamie Gorelick and Seth Waxman among the top 30 lawyers in Washington, DC. Mr. McLucas, the "lawyer of choice for corporate boards trying to sort out the misdeeds and transactions of their CEOs and general counsels" and Ms. Gorelick, who long ago achieved "super lawyer status" were noted for their work in Securities, while it was speculated that Mr. Waxman, whose focus is on Constitutional Law, might one day sit on the high court.
William McLucas, Jamie Gorelick and Seth Waxman were joined by the following 13 of their colleagues in the total listing of the top 780 lawyers in Washington, DC: Lloyd Cutler (Criminal Defense); Howard Shapiro (Securities); Gregory Baer, David Medine (Banking and Privacy); Lisa F. Al-Bashir, Duane Morse, William J. Perlstein, James Wrathall (Bankruptcy); Mark Heller (Food and Drugs); Bill Kolasky, A. Douglas Melamed (Antitrust); Randolph Moss (Constitutional Law); and John Payton (Civil Rights).
