Amanda Major is a trial lawyer who represents clients in high‑stakes intellectual property litigation and technology‑driven disputes, frequently involving cutting‑edge scientific and technical issues. Her practice spans the full range of patent and technology litigation, with particular strength in matters requiring mastery of complex subject matter.

Ms. Major has litigated disputes involving small‑molecule and biologic therapies, diagnostics, medical devices, software, semiconductors, and wireless protocols. She regularly appears in federal district and appellate courts and has represented clients in domestic and international arbitrations, before the US International Trade Commission, and in proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. In addition to trial work, she advises clients on pre‑litigation strategy, risk evaluation, and licensing and counseling matters.

In May 2023, Litigation Daily named Ms. Major and the WilmerHale trial team Litigator of the Week for their jury trial victory for Dropbox, Inc. in the Western District of Texas. After a week‑long trial, the jury returned a defense verdict of non-infringement, found the asserted patents invalid, and rejected the plaintiff’s claimed priority date.

Ms. Major is a member of WilmerHale’s DC Hiring Committee and Counsel Committee.
